Dear Vivek ji,

yadi sudhh hindi me kahun to Director ko ham shilpkar kahenge,jaise shilpkar koi bhwan banane ke liye eet,pathhar,cement,sariya,majdoor ekathha karke bhawan banata hai waise hi,ek director kahani,dialogue,producer,actors,tech, and aur bhi bahut sare part ko ekathha karke film banata hai, ye bat bilkul sahi hai ki film banane ki yatra me director ek akela sabse jimmebar RAHI (PATHIK) hota hai,achha ban gaya to actors ne bahut achha kam kiya, bura bana to director ne actors artiston se thik se kam nahi karba paya.ye blam director ke liye hamesa taiyar rahta hai,ye aage bhi hota rahega,vivek ji, staron ka director/prod ko paresan karne ki bat koi nayi nahi hai,ye abhe bhi hai aur aage bhi rahega,main aapke bat se sahmat nahi hun ki kabhi filmee jahaj ke kaptan ko koi actors ya producer report karenge.

very right Ravi ji...lack of ethics is the main cause...

Director ko Direct kiya aur kabada kiya project ka .It is common in every field and project .Person who conceive an idea is the solo person who is fully devoted rest all joins him Now it is luck of Director what kind of people or team he gets .No such interference were reported in Cinema till 1970 when Sohrab Modi , Raj kapoor , Nasir Hussain use to make films .It is because of entry of money in large amount , ego , lack of experience and lack of ethics among persons which brings problems .Star have no value individually in actual sense . It is the people behind who contributes to his success .Why can't a Hero /Heroine dare to do the complete job of making a film like Dada Kondake or Bhagwan Dada or Sohrab Modi .

It is difficult of dreaming a situation when Director will be treated as a Captain .For this everyone has to mandatory go for Defence services compulsarioly in his /her life time then only we can think of some improvement.

Larger then life cinema has reduced to low quality product.. its now brand...not cinema

shalabh ji... i worked with shri mahesh bhatt hwo never bowed down to star system...cinema makes star...they survive because we create moments and characters for them...

Dear Vivek ji,
Very true , You can not direct a “director”. But , In our film industry, many directors bear the “nakhra” of all the stars. The producer thinks financial point of view only. That’s why, most of films are flop.
You are right, director make stars. We know, persons behind the screen are more important than these on screen persons. Every person plays an important part in the making of the film i.e. all staff even a spot boy also……… so, we should motivate all of them.
In my opinion, the director is the real hero of the film…..

Hey Vivek Ji ,
I completely agree with you , if we see movies of Mr.B R Chopra , WAQT, Naya Daur, our close Mahabharata , he is the ultimate director, if the movie is purely a directors call its going to be a hit , like Mr.Bacchan says he is directors actor , its very simple I feel no one else can visualize the same way as a director the complete canvas , the perfection of thought which is thr in directors grey matter.
Hey but earlier there were not so much of greedy producers around , money spinning commercial guys around industry , so much wrong money .
Those who trust directors end up smiling , other wise kal kissine ne nahi dekha

But there are directors who manage to not compromise I think, like Imtiaz Ali or Anurag Kashyap. Don't you think? So what's the trick?

Its is so true, I always wondered why the director takes such a back seat in Bollywood. It is his baby and he should get credit for it.
