mani ratnam ji ne kabhi kisi film ki shoot abroad mein nahi ki...GURU film ka back drop ismabul tha isliye wahan shoot kiya... Indian locations are rich and unexplored..

Even abroad shooting is fine.. no harm...issue is content...content is missing in each department in Indian Cinema. Music. Acting. Dance. Visual Narration or Dialogue.

Trend will change as audience was always ready for good films...its ready even now.. good time ahead

Jab se Filmey Overseas mein bikne lagi hai tab se Producers ko NRI ki Pasand Jyada bhaane lagi hai . Locations , Songs , Music, Dance kahi kasar nahi chodna chahte Producers/ Directors NRIs ko Lubhane kee. I say that if they want to do so why can't they make Films exclusively for them . Have guts .Why they are throwing so called Trend on Indians Viewers of them majority are mediokars ( not lakhpatti like NRIs )who want to go theatre for a smooth and joyfull movie .They have completly forgotten Indian dances ,Indian Music and Indian Locations ."Luv Aaj Kal " ,Singh is King, CHandani Chowk to China ,Kambhakat Ishq, aur latest "What is yr Rashee " aisey na jaane kitni filme hai last six months mein .
Film making ek Fashion sa ho gaya hai Kuch Producers key liye .

the TREND only can chenge film makers,not audience.

Today film makers have become confused because they make projects depending on the 'TREND'.. but the truth is, that there is no trend!! A good film will click, if its based on strategy and research,as u said. But film makers want to take the short cut!
Coz 90% of makers don't know Indian cinema! They only know 'BOLLYWOOD'...they just make 'proposals' and talk about 'on the table recovery' )
Thank God, we still have makers like you. Desperately awaiting Daaman and Buddham... God bless you with unimaginable success!!

haan vivek ji,Budhham...me aap yadi indian sound use kar rahe hain to bilkul theek kar rahe hain,ek aur suggestion dena chahunga film ki kahani mujhhe nahi pata - lekin jaisa nam hai Budhham sarnam ....iske kuchh part ki shooting 'Bhodh gaya'(Bihar)me bhi honi chahiye.

in Buddham you will hear that same Indian sound of music Ravi ji...

Music from Electronic gadgets can never create feelings of which we Indians are habitual since decades .Tabla, Sarangi , Mridung, Veena, Violin , Guitar , Flute ,Harmonium when played in groups in Recording Studios use to create a long lasting effect .

Ravi ji...music toh bohat kharab ho gaya hai... standard gir gaya hai...words samajh nahi aate aur unka koi meaning nahi hota...

Mein abhi bhi us format par kayam rahna pasand karuga kyonki Ek movie key liya trial kiya ja sakta hai . Aajkal jo Remix type songs dale jaate hain Filmo mein ya punjabi mukadhe wale Jisme Israeli /Russian Girls peche naach rahi hoti hai ekdaam Bakwaas lagta hai . Yeh gaane Naachne Kudane mein kaam aa sakte hai but inki Life bilkul nahi hoti .

Issliye koi try to kare Himmat kare us Purane Pattern pey Geeto ke .Agar Lyrics aur Music AAcha Hoga to Gaana bhi Hit Hoga .Dil ke Aarman , Umangey waqt ke Saath Badalta Nahi Hai Aisa Mera Maanna Hai .Aaj bhi Ek tree ke Chakkar laga Kar Ya Baagechey me Tahalte Hue GAANA Filmaya ja Sakta Hai Rather in a Disco Teth with Bar Balaye .
AAj Bhi Motor cycle par Muqadar Ka Sikander , Chandani Ka Lagi Aaj Sawan ki Gahi - Mere Haathon Me Choodiyan ,,MPK Ka Dil Deewana Bin Sajna ke ,QSQT -Papa Kahte Hai , Tarana- Goonche lage hai kahne repeat kiya ja sakta hai . Again Ek Himmat Ki Jaroorat hai .

sooraj barjatya ji koi film banane se pahle uske kahani par pura time dete hain wo bare staron me wiswas nahi karte sooraj ji apne kam aur kahani ke dam par film banate hai,eshliye wo darshkon ko khus karne me kamyab hote hain, lekin aaj kal ke directors shirf bare star aur wideshi location pe bharosa karte hain,script ko inpotency nahi diya jata,esha lagta hai jeshe script dinner tabel ya bear bar me do-teen gante me likhi gayi hai.ish tarah ke film ko jab darshak dekh ke theater se nikalta hai to wo pure din director ko koshta rahta hai,aur dushre logo ko ush film ko dekhne se mana karta hai"YYAR BAKWAS FILM HAI DIRECTOR NE SOLID BEWKUF BANAYA HAI",vivek ji main script ka fevor ishliye nahi kar raha hun ki main writer hun,ye sach hai.kahani yadi achhi hoti hai to film bahut teji se END ki or jati hai aur darsako ko bor hone ka time nahi mil pata.ek achhi film ke liye ye fector bahut jaroori hai.

very true Ravi ji... but now audience has changed...their life style and taste has changed...old format doesn't work now... makers have to re invent themselves...

succesfull luv story film mein pahle ek bachelor song ,phir ek ya do luv songs, phie ek party song ya Group song , ek Judai song yeh combination payenge aap, Chandani ,Lamhe , QSQT,MPK,Hum Apke hain kaun , Dil to Paagal Hein , .Pyar karne wale characters mein ek madness deekhni chaiyeh screen par . Character artist and Comedian ke bhi ek khaas bhumika hoti hai besides a villain .ek saath kai characters play karte hain kai scenes mein .Photography aur characters ka involvement scene ke hisab sein important ho jata hai .In sab ke ssath action ka Tadka lag jata hai to kahne hi kya .

Ek Darshak hamesha Dil ko choo lene wali Film ki Khoj mein rahta hein aur is chakkar mein kai Dhoka dene wali filme dekh leta hai .HA Ha HA @@@@@

QSQT aur MPK ke songs maine hostel mein 1000 times se kum nahi sune honge ,Umar ka woh padav kuch aisa hi hota hai .Is liye Vivek Bhai Kamar Kas ligiye Daaman ke Liye .I hv an idea for its marketing will discuss later LUV TO YOU AND ALL READERS

i think today everyone is just in need of money,,,,,,,,,,,,,,n they r running in a camel race like a camel who only see straight wen he runs,not left n right and sometime he gets defeat ,,,,,,,,,,,,so before making a project one should see all around n research thoroughly.......................... i can say very few are left with a good cinema n the passion of making it without any greed.

For a new release for first week it is strategy that runs thereafter it is the film that pulls the crowd . In India majority of people go to theatre by the reports in Media , saying of their friend & Relatives so a film should be really good for a Real success .QSQT & MPK were the movies in which a young/ middel aged viewer ives with the character on screen .Every scene goes deep into the heart through eyes and ears . continuity of film is uniform throughout .Lyrics & Music up to the mark .Even Raj Kapoor's was a Director who had a good knowledge of making a succesful film . all his films like Bobby , ram teri Ganga Maile , & SSS , Shri 420 were of top class category in their tmes Finally it is the luck of Director .

Daaman we wait for to fall in category of films you have mentioned .Script , Screenplay , Dialogues , Sets , Lyrics , Music , Locations and finally the Actors every part should be taken care with equal weightage.
