Director's Diary By Vivek Sharma - Part 13

I recently met my production designer Muneesh for ‘Buddham Sharanam Gachchami’ and he showed me the set designs with looks for each character.

This is the most fascinating part of film making. A script or story idea follows its own flow of emotions but for set design and looks, one has to do a lot of research.

I remember when I met Amit ji and showed him his looks for ‘Bhoothnath’ he reacted like a child. He was happily surprised. “ye kaun hai…?” He asked me after seeing his ghost look on his laptop.Ravi ji and I smiled.

There was an instant clarity in Amit ji’s mind after watching those character sketches that this is how he has to look. Even his make-up person Deepak Sawant was clear and excited to know, “toh ye look create karna hai..?”

every emotion has its own geography!!!!Wao! Never thought of that...but so true!!! BCG slum sequences sound so exciting!! It would be an awesome feeling to see 2 superstars performing that scene overlooking the slums....wooooh!! the way you described your shot taking - holding steady long shots cut to CU, intersting framing with elements in foreground...... mindblowing! International !!!! Thanks for sharing your cinematic journey with us... waiting for your next chapter impatiently!!!
